Drosera, commonly known as the sundews, are interesting carnivorous plants that lure, capture and digest insects using stalked mucilaginous glands covering their leaf surfaces.
The insects are used to supplement the poor mineral nutrition of the soil in which the plants grow.
Glistening drops of mucilage at the tip of the leaf resemble drops of the morning dew, hence the name sundews !!
These beautiful carnivorous plants can be kept in both outdoor and indoor setup, to add a touch of life in every corner it shines !!
