Sarracenia are North American pitcher plants, commonly called the trumpet pitchers. The plant's leaves have evolved into a funnel or pitcher shape in order to trap insects.
They attracts its insect prey with leaves' color, scent and nectar secretions. Slippery footing at the pitcher's rim, causes insects to fall inside, where they are digested by the plant with enzymes.
These beautiful carnivorous plants can be kept in both outdoor and indoor setup, to green up your life !!
